Open Cart Extension eBay Sync v1.0

Most of the clients who know me understand that I'm a little obsessed with eBay. Not because I use it anymore, but when I did, it was as a large scale seller (I would consider 100+ orders a day large!).

About twice a year WM reviews almost all large ecommerce solutions; Magento, Open Cart, Xcart, OSCommerce and other. I came across Open Cart once again and noticed that it's really stepped up its game, MVC architecture, simple module installation, minimum requirements and of course most important - its fast!

We set out to develop a module that we have always bragged about, our integration for order syncing with eBay. Last time we tried it was with Magento and it was just a mess - outdated Zend Framework, pointless loading of all classes, and it was slow...very slow. No matter how good documentation is you always weigh up the cost analysis - can I make something people want, sell it for a reasonable amount of money, develop it quickly and easily. If the answer is no to any of the previous then there is no point!

Open Cart passed with flying colours. Quick development, great price and people need it. Open  Cart even promote your extension on their store too so you get maximum exposure - great!

In conclusion we are now exploring Open Cart much further, it does most things our current solution does and we will be building the additional components ourselves for the bits that it doesn't have.
