Asian Style Awards have recently formed and set out to grow and exhibit the fashion, style and beauty of the Asian culture.
Asian Style Awards is governed by the Asian Style Awards Association (ASAA) a not for profit organisation. ASA has been established to recognize the achievements of the UK's South Asian fashion and beauty industry.
The industry has not only influenced trends on the high street, but has also contributed millions of pounds to the UK economy each year. ASAA feel the industry is highly under-represented and are therefore delighted to be hosting the first and exclusive UK South Asian fashion and beauty awards.
The Brief
Asian Style Awards have recently formed and set out to grow and exhibit the fashion, style and beauty of the Asian culture. They did this by increasing the awareness off the Asian culture in the local community and also nationwide. With award ceremonies and a very successful magazine, they have managed to cause the Asian fashion industry to flourish. With the nature of the company being beauty, style and fashion, they needed a website to incorporate all these attributes but also be appealing and functional for the users. Promoting the awards and the fashion industry was key in the development but with so many features on the website for the users, it is also a very effective marketing and business development tool.
The Solution and Special features
The solution was a stylish and beautiful web design with lots of colour, yet a very functional navigation system to allow the user to easily navigate around the website. The website incorporates the “WOW“factor and that was the effect they wanted. The colours are vibrant and the flash elements on the website enhance the feel of the fashion industry.
The navigation system is very easy to use and is generic across the top of the website at all times. There is a user log in system allowing certain members of the website the means to login to their personal account and access information valuable to them.
A Content Management System was installed on the website allowing the client the means to edit the content on the website and update the information, but also download the nominations made via the website. The nomination form comprises of HTML and JavaScript which combined provide an effective tool for collecting nominations for the awards ceremonies.
All in all, a very successful tool and brochure for the Asian Style Awards.
